The Rebel Legion is a world wide Star Wars costuming fan club. Our members celebrate creating, owning, and wearing costumes of the heroes, Rebels, Republic Forces and various creatures as featured in the six Star Wars films and the Expanded Universe.

Modesto Celebration of Lights Parade

Each year the parade draws thousands of spectators to the downtown area. The theme of this year’s Celebration of Lights Parade and Downtown Extravaganza is “Hollywood Holidays.”  The Celebration of Lights Parade will begin at 15th and I Streets and will follow I Street to 10th Street, over to J Street and back down to 15th Street.  Streets in and around the parade area will be closed beginning at 2 p.m. and will re-open at approximately 7:30 p.m.

WonderCon is the biggest pop culture and comics convention of the year in Northern California. It features a huge Exhibit Hall filled with some of the coolest stuff in the world; a large and comprehensive programming schedule featuring presentations from the very best in comics (including the Comics Arts Conference for a second year in San Francisco) and from Hollywood movie studios and TV networks; gaming; anime screenings; and special nighttime events such as the WonderCon Masquerade in its fifth big year, plus much, much more.
