The Rebel Legion is a world wide Star Wars costuming fan club. Our members celebrate creating, owning, and wearing costumes of the heroes, Rebels, Republic Forces and various creatures as featured in the Star Wars films, animated series, and the Expanded Universe.

San Jose State University Wind Ensemble will present two concerts of John Williams’ music from the Star Wars films: Friday, October 26 at 7:30 PM and Sunday, October 28 at 2 PM. These concerts will act as fund raisers for the San Jose State University band program. The band is raising money for an international tour to Costa Rica and a recording session at a “famous, well known recording studio in Marin.”

The Sacramento Zoo is having its annual Boo at the Zoo! This is a non-profit Zoo that inspires conservation awareness through education and recreation. It is home to over 140 native, rare and endangered species! Visitors will learn how animal adaptations and behaviors in our galaxy through Wildlife Stage Shows, crafts, and other activities. They are inviting us to interact with attendees, pose for pictures and have fun. Food and drinks will be provided for troopers and handlers, just like the Star Wars Day at the Zoo event. Children will be dressed as their favorite super heros and fantasy characters! Families will also be able to enjoy trick-or-treating throughout the ENTIRE zoo at 15 different candy stations, face painting for kids, festive games, themed stage shows, magic shows with Trevor the Magician, keeper chats and even animal enrichments. Top off a perfect day with a ride on the spooky zoo train or the creepy carousel!

This is a fund raiser event for the "The Martinez Lodge Illiteracy Program". They have adopted a T-1 low income School (Las Juntas Elementary) and have been working with the Principle and the Librarian to come up with a strategy to help the school to eliminate illiteracy. The lodge has been raising funds to help purchase books for the library.

The Niles Festival of Lights Parade celebrates the opening of the holiday season with a lighted parade that provides entertainment, community spirit, and sharing this event for all to enjoy. Since 2001, the Niles Festival of Lights Parade has become a tradition in the City of Fremont. Niles was established in the 1850's and was a junction point of the Southern Pacific Railroad lines from Oakland to San Jose and southern coastal points. Niles as the community continues to show off a captivating historic character, a family atmosphere, and a friendly shopping experience. The parade annually features wonderful entries such as giant parade balloons, creative floats, marching bands, antique vehicles, dance groups and special guests. The parade draws more than 10,000+ spectators along the half-mile parade route in Niles.

Mike Smyth Memorial Holiday Party
for pediatric cancer patients

This is a special Christmas time event at UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center in Sacramento! Every year for roughly the last 10 plus years the Active 20-30 Club of Sacramento supports and host the annual Mike Smyth Memorial Holiday Party for pediatric cancer patients and their families receiving treatment through the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer in Sacramento California. This annual event draws more than 250 children and their families, which will feature Panda Express as the food sponsor, treats from Pinkberry Yogurt, holiday crafts, games and more. Additional event activities included, Face painting, a show by Mad Science of Sacramento Valley, photos with Santa, presents for all children in attendance, live music, bounces houses, and appearances from Sacramento River Cat’s mascot, and members of the 501st Legion & Rebel Legion.
