Of course\, you’ll still get the chance to trick-or-treat at the Zoo and visit our fun skeleton scenes for a socially distant selfie! \nChildren are encouraged to dress in costumes. (Non-scary costumes are appropriate for this event. Please select a costume that is appealing to children and does not contain horror elements of any kind.) All socially distant guidelines rules and regulations will be implemented. Please do not attend the event if you are feeling ill. \nCOVID guidelines: For the safety of our animals\, all guests are required to wear a mask while inside the Reptile House and while feeding giraffes at Twiga Terrace\, regardless of vaccination status. Masks are not required while outdoors for guests who have been fully vaccinated\, but they are recommended when social distancing is not possible. Unvaccinated guests should continue to wear masks. We ask guests to take on the responsibility to have any unvaccinated people in their party wear masks. We will not be checking vaccination status. We do offer a mask exemption\, including in indoor areas. For the safety of our animals and due to the proximity and contact between guests and animals\, no mask exemptions can be made for giraffe feeding at Twiga Terrace. \nThis event runs two weekends – October 21-23 and October 28-30. Daily attendance by Endor Base members is not guaranteed.

DESCRIPTION:Per the organizers\, the event has been canceled for public safety amid the COVID-19 pandemic. \nJoin Endor Base and meet your favorite characters without making a trip to a galaxy far\, far away. Visitors are encouraged to bring their cameras to Star Wars Day and pose for free photos with costumed characters from 11 am to 4 pm. Visitors will learn how animal adaptations and behaviors in our galaxy relate to the creatures from the Star Wars universe through wildlife stage shows\, crafts and other activities. Visitors will also be able to enjoy Star Wars-themed concession items in Kampala Cafe\, a ride on the Conservation Carousel to Star Wars music\, themed chalk art with an activity station for guests to join in the fun\, a Lego building station\, face painting and more. The animals will join in on the fun as they receive special Star Wars-themed enrichment items throughout the day. \nCostume Notice\nDue to animal safety\, you may be asked to remove full head costume pieces in certain areas of the zoo. Lightsabers are allowed\, but cannot be used over fences or animal barriers. Any costume blasters or guns are NOT allowed unless you are with the pre-approved groups of costumed characters and have had your prop inspected and tagged before entering the zoo. \nProceeds from Star Wars Day will benefit animal care and the general maintenance of the zoo.
